We Celebrated THRIVE Demo Day

Demo Day for our THRIVE Accelerator for Social Good, co-hosted by our partners at The Spark Mill was this week.

Demo Day is the culmination of a nine-week program of THRIVE: An Accelerator for Social Good. During this in-person, community-building pitch event, nonprofit teams in this third cohort will celebrate their work and tell their story and impact to funders, colleagues, and supporters from across sectors and the region.

Emcee Micah "Bam-Bamm" White kept us laughing for his second time hosting Demo Day, eventfull supported the tech and logistics, Podium RVA board member and Collaboratory member Jennie Wood donated her time for photography (coming soon), and we couldn't have done it all without our great partner Chris Bennett at The Spark Mill. We enjoyed a reception after with food from Autumn's Custom Catering and beverages from Buskey Cider celebrating Virginia Cider Week.

The THRIVE accelerator program provides nonprofits an opportunity to look beyond current challenges and obstacles and plan out a direct and streamlined path forward. Organizations spent concentrated time planning and executing real-time solutions with guided facilitation and mentors, utilizing accelerator techniques in a cohort-responsive program. THRIVE was created through collaboration between The Collaboratory of Virginia and The Spark Mill.
