Member Benefit: Ask a Lawyer Series

Updated: Feb 24, 2021

Through partnership with The Greater Richmond Bar Foundation, members at The Collaboratory of Virginia can now Ask a Lawyer during monthly topic-specific presentations and individual, 15-minute consultations.

Every month, lawyers from the GRBF will: 1) present on a topic relevant to nonprofits and be available for questions in the first hour and

2) in the second hour will be booking private, 15-minute consultation appointments with the intent to determine nonprofit readiness and need for assistance with a pro-bono lawyer in the Pro Bono Clearinghouse.

Members should log in to the member portal at https://www.thecollaboratory-va.org/ and visit Community, Events, to register for either.

February 24, 2021: Mike Goldman, a Partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP and the current President of the Greater Richmond Bar Foundation, will lead a virtual information session focused on corporate governance and issues related to nonprofit management, including governance documents (articles and bylaws), officers, and board of directors questions. Mike will have general materials and information to share, but he will also be open to general questions from participants.
